Hello everyone and welcome to my new Blog.

2024 begins with a new sponsorship deal with KKPoker for me. I am very grateful to KKPoker for the chance to represent the brand over the coming year. I will produce regular blog updates throughout the year documenting for myself, friends and family the ups and downs of my poker adventures in 2024.

2023 was a hugely successful year for me culminating with first place finishes in both the “Irish Poker Tour” league and playoff finals. I’ve been around this game too long to take such victories for granted. If I can achieve anywhere near as much this year, it’ll will be a good year. This is my interview after these wins and contains a lot of background information on me for those who don’t know me..  


As I said in that interview I had obviously played and ran very well last year. Like every poker player on a good run there’s always a worry in the back you your mind if things will run the opposite way and I start playing and running bad in 2024. Thankfully picking up my first tournament of the year in The Eglington €250 PLO for €5,000 last week alleviated these fear to an extent. This trophy means I continue my great run of winning at least one tournament in each of the last six months.


Westport was the venue of the weekends Irish Poker Tours “Westport Cup” which boasted a €100,000 guarantee for the €300 entry. There was no joy for me in this weekend. Congratulations to Sia Browne on taking the first prize of €19,000 in what turned out to be a great festival for the Ladies. Karen Muir was runner up to my buddy Fintan Gavin in the €400 “The Mayo” with Tanya Masters also making the final table in that one and Colette Murphy hitting two final tables and Claire Hopkins winning the Omaha 7/Max.

This weeks destination is Aspers Casino London for the Irish Poker Festival which runs as part of the London Poker Festival. Myself and Fintan are travelling tomorrow Tuesday and I’m hoping for a bit more success than Mayo J.

Lots of Cashing I had some lovely runs in the tournaments that I played over the month of march but ultimately fell a little short in all. My sponsor had a great online series early in the month. My best finish was 9th of the 3200 entrants in the 100k Guaranteed PKO event.      A nice run but just a little shy of a big payout.
