Autumn 24, London, Killarney & A Trophy - Part 2

Clonmel

I bricked all events at last weekends Irish Poker Tour's "Siege of Clonmel Festival". It is thankfully unusual for me to go a festival without some returns these days so hopefully that's the bad one out of the way with a busy few weeks coming up.

Tommy Heads up in the Main Event Clonmel

Congratulations to all the winners over the weekend in Clonmel especially Tommy Geleziunas who finished 1st in both the PLO-&-Max Event and the Main Event for €2,500 and €20,000. Well done Tommy!

There was a great response over the weekend to last week blog with many people mentioning it to me in Clonmel. Thanks everyone for the likes and shares on social media platforms and indeed everyone who has taken the time to read the blog.

Dublin Poker Club

I had three events left to cover finishing up last week and will start with the best result at my sponsors KKPoker's tournament in Dublin.

Victory at Dublin Poker Club

It was Fantastic to win the first event my sponsors KKpoker were involved with in Ireland at the wonderful Dublin Poker Club. The event was the €200 buy in €50k guarantee KKpoker Autumn series and It was with great satisfaction I managed to take first place and a €7,500 payout.

I hadn't play in the Dublin poker club before and what a super venue it is. Brian and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I played another €50k guarantee at the club a couple of weeks after the victory and it's very impressive to see a venue putting on such brilliant tournaments with excellent structures and guarantees running over one day. I will definitely be returning for their next big game.

Thank You Tia

My good friend Tia Nguyen presented me with a lovely trophy after the victory. Everyone knows how much I love a trophy so as you can Imagine I was well chuffed to receive this one.

Tia has been a pillar of help and support over the last year in my role as KKpoker ambassador. Always there with assistance and kind words on social media. Thanks for everything Tia.

Donegal

I cashed in the Irish Poker Tours €300 main event - Donegal Poker Cup in Letterkenny on the second weekend of September. 26th position for €800 was my returns for the festival that is mostly remembered for an old friend winning the title on a return to the felt, Con Collins.

Old Friend Con Collins

Con was a regular and all the Irish event when we started playing around the same time but had taken a break from the game for a few years. He's certainly come back in a rich vein of form. The victory and €17,500 win in Donegal come on the back of a third place finish in the previous months main event at the Green Isle for €15,000.

London

Coming home after the London Poker Festival I remember thinking I could fill a blog no problem from all that happened there. A lot of it has faded over time so I'll have to be brief to tie up this blog.

Heads Up London

I lost a heads up battle in the £1k One Dayer. Disappointing but happy with the £5,750 as it was easily covering my expenses and buy ins for the week with the main event to come.

Bubble Boy

I finished on the exact bubble in the main event. The hand is reported in a screenshot I've taken from Pokernews.com. I also finished on the exact bubble in a side event the next day but all in all it was still a good week at the excellent Aspers Casino.

International Poker Open

I'm currently in the Boddington Hotel Dublin about to take my seat in the International poker Open. The IPO was the original big payout small buyin event in Ireland and has always been a week I look forward to. I have so many good memory's of festivals in the hotel over the years and this will be my fifteenth attempt to win this title.

Irish Poker Festival

Straight after the IPO I'll be moving across Dublin to The Intercontinental Hotel for the 2024 addition of the Irish Poker Festival.

This event was a new addition to the calendar last year and was one of the highlights of the poker year. The main event here is a whopping €700,000 guarantee for the €3,000 buyin. There's a full schedule of side events and cash games running 24/7 in this lovely venue in the heart of Dublin City.

So that's me up to date, thankfully. Before I go a quick plug for my sponsors.
